Might have sang this…

roof in the rain

It’s raining this morning which is refreshing. Reminds me that I need to work on my garden a bit so it doesn’t die.

Cover of Jose Gonzales/The Knife song heartbeats. Recorded myself practising it for open mic.

Next recording up will be more balanced so you can hear the guitar, I promise.

Slightly (make that very) scrappy rendition of a Thea Gilmore song that I like…

Building

Not very well today. This is the only time I managed to get through it without coughing terribly. It’s some of the lyrics to Fun Boy Three’s ‘The Lunatics Have Taken Over The Asylum’ with a new tune and guitar bits. I might work on it some more when I’m more with it, but this is a start if I actually want to post things once a week.

No Nuclear The Cowboy Told Us

Hee hee, apologies for the transatlantic accent too.

Oh yes, and if you want to hear the original, click here. Maybe next I’ll steal their beats.

Breaking

May 11, 2008

Guitar

I was going to post my first new bit of sound today. An embarrassingly simple tune, that seems to dissolve away whenever I am about to record it. But with Vista+Audacity stacked against me, and after trawling forums and Wikis for advice, I can’t even get the internal mic to comply, let alone my actual microphone. So, Amanda sent me an old song, ‘Break’, that I recorded on her laptop a couple of years ago and here it is in all its quietness and mistakes.

Break

Might take the thing back to Asda and get a refund. Turns out I may not even be able to to install XP as some essential drivers have been removed from the public domain for Acers.
