OK… I found this old to-do list from two weeks ago and I’m going to start planning how to put it into action. Will have to change it a bit since it’s Sheffield based but that’s ok…
Regain confidence and funsomeness by laughing in the face of fear and enjoying people!
- this week I can do something I’m afraid of every day and be in touch with someone in a nice way every day
Get a distinction for MA year 2009!
- this week I can look through the course intro and see what interests me
- I can also start re-learning German, by getting some of my course texts in German, trying to find some Hegel, and reading Agnes Martin’s writings in German, which I already have
Feel and be responsible for myself and treat myself really well!
- give myself twenty minutes silence once a day to think about stuff
- do either yoga or running every day
Apply for a USA masters.
- well, actually applying for a traineeship now, in order to do this I must renew my passport (can do this tomorrow), collect my references (have two, need to chase up two others), phone the ICA and Proximity Gallery, and
Enjoy being with Fiona, Megan and Jen and make new friends.
- I will definitely make an effort to be in touch with those three
- I will keep meeting up with friends in Durham and join a yoga class and make an effort to be friendly there
Investigate the art scene.
- hum… what can I do in Durham. I will investigate the Newcastle and Philadelphia art scenes but probably not this week. First thing I want to do is to see the Laing Stanley Spencer exhibition
Gain work confidence by getting a great job and putting a lot into it!
- A temp job, and a gaining in confidence in art and writing is what I want, putting a lot into that. wooo!
- at the moment that involves beginning my Tina Gharavi article, working on Richard Forster’s website, sending off proposals each week and keeping a sketchbook, maybe doing the artists way again
OK…. so lots to do, will check in on progress once a week, and make little goals each day. Woop.
